Zoya PixieDust Collection

These polishes were provided to me by Zoya for my honest review.

H-E-L-L-O!!!

I have missed y'all so much!  So just to let you guys know what I have been up to for the past few months, I will give you a bit info about my day-to-day life!  As some of you may know, I started a new job back in September.  My postings slowed down a bit at that time, but I was able to keep up with the weekly Twinsie Tuesday posts.  However, in January, the spring semester started and with my classes and the new job just became overwhelming on top of my daily to-do list!  I apologize for dropping off the grid and going MIA, but I really do appreciate y'all sticking around!  Let me tell you, I really missed swatching and blogging!

So today's post is all about Zoya's PixieDust Collection!  Let's take a look at these gorgeous polishes!

Dahlia is a black-based polished with silver micro glitters disbursed through out.  I love the look of dark polishes on my nails, but I don't wear them too often because I feel they are a bit too bold for work.  I had a ton of fun wearing this polish over the weekend!  Dahlia is a great polish to rock when you are feeling super edgy!  With a top coat, Dahlia reminds me a bit of Zoya Storm but minus the holographic sparkle!

Chyna is a gorgeous holiday red with micro red glitters.  Even though this polish was released as a spring color, I think Chyna will be perfect for fall and the winter holidays!  This polish is an embodiment sassy and sexy!

Next up is London.  London i s a beautiful foggy grey polish with silver micro glitters.  From this polish on in this collection, the colors are muted!  I LOVE muted shades!  I love the name too, London...fog!  Haha!  For some reason April showers come to mind with this polish!

Godiva is a light beige polish with, again, silver micro glitters.  I think this polish is perfect for work and any day you feel like a natural look, but with tons of texture!

Nyx is a gorgeous periwinkle based polish with silver micro glitters.  This shade is so pretty for spring and perfect for a subtle pop of color on your nails against this year's spring trend of black and white!  I am not too big of a blue polish gal, but a shade like this is too pretty to pass up!

Last in this collection is Vespa!  Vespa is a springy light sage color with, yes, silver micro glitters!  I love the name of this polish too!  I can totally envision a Vespa in this shade!  This polish would be super gorgeous to pair with a lacy top or floral print!

Well, there you have it, the Zoya PixieDust Collection!  I love all of these polishes, and I think they are gorgeous for spring!  The darker shades (Dahlia, Chyna, and London) all required two coats, and Godiva, Nyx, and Vespa all required three coats!  The texture on all of them was prominent for me except for Vespa.  The PixieDust formulation felt similar to sandpaper, but not sharp...if that makes sense!  These are the first textured polishes I have tried, and I really do like this trend!!  I think all of the polishes are also gorgeous when you add a top coat!  I used one thick coat of Seche Vite for all, and the result was also super pretty!  What a bonus, it is like having two polishes in one!!

The PixieDust Collection can be purchased here!  The individual polishes are $9 each or $54 for the sampler!

These products were provided to me for my honest review!  Thanks, Zoya!

Twinsie Tuesday - My Red Mani!

Happy Tuesday, loves!

I hope you are all having a great week!  To those of y'all that started your new semester of classes, YAY!  Kick some academic butt!  I started my class this week, so I am busy with work and school!

I apologize that I missed last week's theme!  I will feature a Saran Wrap mani soon!  This week's theme is a red mani!  I have been giving my red polishes a lot of love this season, and I really love pairing reds with golds!  Let's see what's in store for this red mani!

I am rockin' Orly Emberstone!  Emberstone required two thin coats for an opaque mani!  This reddish, orangy number contains tons of gold shimmer!  I topped off my mani with a coat of Hit Polish Fiery!  Fiery contains micro red glitters with small matte yellow hex glitters and red and orange medium hex glitters!

What is your favorite tone/shade of red polish?  I love bright reds right now!!!

Don't forget to check out what reds my twins are wearing for this theme!!!

Zoya Lovely Collection

Happy New Years, readers!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and New Years!

For the New Year I went up to Washington to visit my brother-in-law and his family!  It was AMAZING!  I love Washington!  There were wonderful fireworks and snow for ringing in 2013!!  Oh, to one day move out of California...

Anyways, we recently came home and guess what was included in some of the nail mail that was awaiting me?!?  ZOYA'S LOVELY COLLECTION!

Lovely is Zoya's Spring 2013 collection that includes beautiful pastels...both creme and metallic shimmer!  Many of these beauties were originally designed for Peter Som or Zang Toi!  Let's take a look at these springy shades!

(Shade)

"Fresh Forsythia Yellow Metallic" - Zoya

The first gorgeous metallic shimmer to show off is Piaf!  I love this yellow for the spring!  I cannot wait to rock it when the weather warms up a bit!  I have had a hard time finding yellows that aren't horrible on my nails, and I think I found it!!!

(Shade)

"Blushing Cherry Blossom Pink Metallic" - Zoya

The next metallic shimmer in this collection is Gie Gie!  I love this pink!  I think it is super girly with the shimmer!  I would totally wear this to work and paint my nieces's nails this color!

(Shade)

"Soft Wisteria Purple Metallic" - Zoya

Out of all of the metallic shimmers in this collection, Julie was the hardest for me to photograph!  Purples just never translate in my photos!  I do like this shade of lavender-y purple, but Gei Gei and Piaf stole my heart!

(Late Afternoon Shade)

"Lucky Hyacinth Blue Cream" - Zoya

Sorry for the darker shade shot!  I was running out of bright daylight while swatching!  This is the first creme I am showing you in the collection called Blu!  Blu is a light baby blue pretty!

(Shade)

"Earliest Spring Green Cream" - Zoya

This creme is Neely!  I love this polish!  Neely reminds me of a creamy green tea shade!  Out of the whole collection, this polish was my favorite with the best application!

(Shade)

"Perfect Magnolia Nude Cream" - Zoya

The close second in this collection is Jacqueline!  I love nudes, and this polish doesn't disappoint!  I love the creaminess, buttery-ness of this polish!  Perfect for any day!

All of the polishes in this collection needed three thin coats of polish to be opaque!  If you don't mind the extra coat to get the gorgeous payoff, these are springy stunners!  My Zoya collection mainly consists of darker shades, which for me have all been mostly one-coaters so far, so I was surprised I needed more than two coats to get an opaque mani with this collection!  If  you only could buy a few in this collection, my favorites are Neely, Jacqueline, and Gie Gie!

The Lovely Collection could be purchased here!  The individual polishes are $8 each or $48 for the sampler!

These products were provided to me for my honest review!  Thanks, Zoya!

Twinsie Tuesday - Merry Christmas and Sapphire Chanukah Mani!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, loves!

Oh my goodness, it is so good to be back.  I have been swamped with work and preparing for the holidays! I have been a bad Twinsie as of late!

Today's post is a triple-themed Twinsie Tuesday for me!  Let's start with today's theme...Christmas!

Well...this little dude is more winter-themed, but I love this mani!  I pulled inspiration from a couple of YouTube videos!  I apologize, but I cannot recall which ones I watched since there were so many!!  For my penguin I used Zoya Raven for his body and eyes, Zoya Purity for his tummy and eyes, and Julep Stella for his beak and feet!  For the rest of the nails, I created a snowy scene with China Glaze Sea Spray, Zoya Purity, and China Glaze Snow Globe!  I love Christmas, and I will be back tomorrow to show y'all what I wore for today's mani...since I haven't decided what to wear to my family's party yet!

The past two weeks' themes that I missed were 1. Chanukah and 2. my birthstone color!  So I decided to combine this mani since both colors I envisioned were blue!

Of course, when I think of Chanukah, I think blue!  As it so happens, I was born in September, so my birthstone is naturally a sapphire...blue!  This gorgeous polish is Gosh Blue Monday!  I was sent this from Ingie!  Blue Monday is a very pretty royal blue shimmery polish with a hint of purple flash to it!  For this mani I applied three thin coats of Blue Monday!

I missed y'all much and can't wait to show you what I have in the next upcoming weeks!

I also missed welcoming Jamie!!!!  WELCOME TO THE TWINSIE FAMILY!!!!

I hope you all are having a fabulous holiday and eat up!!!!!!

Don't forget to check out what my twinsies have in store for you today!!

Twinsie Tuesday - Black and White Mani!

Morning, readers!!

Today is...Twinsie Tuesday!

This week's Twinsie Tuesday theme is a black and white mani!

I have a super special mani to share with you all today!!!!

May I present to you...Snailz and Mysterium!!!  For the base of this mani, I used Snailz Grey Goose with a sprinkle of Mysterium Avalanche on top!!!

Avalanche consists of a iridescent shimmery base with mini and medium white hex and bar glitter, medium black hex glitter, and matte white hex and square glitter!!!  The application was smooth and flawless!  For this amount of glitter, I used one coat of Avalanche!

Keep your eyes peeled for a separate post on Grey Goose in the future!!

Now, let me tell you about these two polishes and their creator!  Both Snailz and Mysterium are created by my fellow twinsie and awesome friend Ash and her sister!!!  Snailz is their franken line, and Mysterium is their indie line!!!!  I am so excited and honored to be able to share these with you all!!  I am sure that you all know who Ash is already, but if you don't go visit her blog NOW :)  She has some of the most gorgeous swatches and the BEST nail art!!  Unfortunately, Mysterium's shop is not open yet, but you can also see other Mysterium swatches and receive indie updates on her blog!

Don't forget to check out Ash's blog here, and my other fellow twinsies!!!!

Twinsie Tuesday - My Oldest Polish!

Good evening, loves!!!

Tonight's post is another Twinsie Tuesday!

This week's theme for Twinsie Tuesday is your oldest polish!!  I have already used this polish in a previous Twinsie post...sorry!

This is Revlon Get Ready!!  I love this polish!  Get Ready is the perfect red with pretty golden shimmer!  I believe this polish is discontinued, and I have had this for over five years!  For me, that's a long time!  Besides loving the shade, this polish is a one-coater!!!

Don't forget to see what polish has been hanging out in my other twinsies' stash for years!

Black Cat Lacquer Winter Collection

Happy Black Friday, loves!!!

Did y'all go out and buy tons of stuff?  Online shop some of your favorite indie creations?  Can't figure out what to get?   Well, hopefully this post will help you make some polish decisions if you are looking for a deal and some beauties!

This is Black Cat Lacquer's 2012 Winter Collection!  I have to say, this whole collection is stunning and so girly!  I always love the formula of Sabrina's polishes and this collection is no exception!  Let's take a look!!!

This gorgeous effect polish is The Charming Man!  This polish is in a sheer golden base with tons of bronze and gold flakes!!!  I wait to wear this polish over every fall shade this season!!!  I think it will also be stunning over a turquoise in the summer!  This mani only took one simple coat of The Charming Man over China Glaze Merry Berry!

Vogue.  Vogue.  Vogue.  Vogue, is simply festive and fun!  This glitter bomb of a matte rainbow hex glitters, black square glitters, and white diamonds suspends in clear base!  I am not usually a fan of multi-colored, rainbow glitters, but BLC's mixtures are always so incredible!!!  This is another one coater over Zoya Bevin!

Now, let's talk about Frozen, baby!  I'm diggin' this color combo of shard glitters!!!  Teal, silver, white, and lavender is just such a edgy but feminine combo!  I love the way this polish popped over Orly Au Champagne!

Another stunner is I Want Candy!  I can totally see myself rockin' this polish all winter and spring!!  I feel like I Want Candy brings out my girly-girl side!  For this mani, I wore I Want Candy solo!  This is three coats of purple jelly holo-ness with teal, purple, silver, and pink glitters hanging out!

Lastly but definitely not least is my favorite in this collection...Strangelove!  This is another glitter topper that consists of fuchsia and lilac glitters!  This polish just screams, "AllTHATISGORGEOUS!!!"  I am wearing Strangelove over China Glaze Sunset Sail!  I cannot wait to rock this as this upcoming Valentine's Day mani over a light pink polish!!!  Yikes!

So what do y'all think of these five gorgeous Black Cat Lacquer polishes????  I totally am a "Yay" vote for these!  Which is your favorite??  Can't decide???  Well...today is Black Friday, so go over to BLC's Facebook page and say, HELLO, to Sabrina and don't forget to look for the awesome discount code!!

You can purchase this polish along with tons of other Black Cat Lacquers at Sabrina's etsy shop here!  Don't forget to also follow her on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram (BlackCatLacquer)!

What do y'all think???  Do you have any of these polishes or which ones do you just have to have??

These products were provided to me for my honest review!  Thanks, Sabrina!
